The 230 kV Thickwood Hills substation is located approximately 16 km west of Fort McMurray, AB in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Work for this project included the supply, install and commissioning of building, building services and HVAC services for the new Thickwood Hills Substation.

Work for the project consisted of the installation of SVC Branch Equipment, SVC Branch Equipment, SVC Converter and Valve Cooling System, Station Power Supply and LV Auxilary Supply Equipment, Station Battery System, P&C panels, grounding, cables, cable tray and HVAC. 

Work for the building includes the supply, erection, transportation, offloading and installation onto foundations. Building finishes, electrical, fire alarm, security systems are also part of the scope.
