In 2015, FMI performed a high-tech cable pull working with cable manufacturer J-Power Systems (JPS) and Mitsubishi Canada Ltd to install their 242 kV cable on behalf of BC Hydro.

The team's task was to run 4.2 km of high-voltage 242 kV cable between the George Tripp substation and the Horsey Substation. The cable was a mixed power and fibre-optic line running through ducts underneath Quadra Street in Saanich and Victoria. It provides a redundant system to ensure power can be delivered to the substation even in case of power failure.
