Project Overview

Carmacks Stewart Transmission Project (CSTL) was completed in two Phases over a 3 year period

In phase one, 3 new substation were completed, Carmacks, Minto Landing and Minto Mine

In Phase two, 3 more new substation were completed, Stewat Crossing North, Stewart Crossing South and Pelly Crossing. Also in phase two was the expansion of two substations, Minto Landking and Mayo

FMI completed all Civil and Electrical as well as the supply and transport of all structural steel and cables. The transport of material was handled by FMI's fleet of tractor trailers completing nearly 100 round trips from Vancouver to the job sites north of Whitehorse a distance of nearly 4,000km.

The work started in the spring of 2008 and was completed by the spring of 2012
