Capacity upgrades were required for the Irish Creek Substation located in Elk Point, Alberta approximately 215 km northeast of Edmonton. Work included the installation of a 144/25 kV transformer, 144kV SF6 outdoor circuit breaker, a 144 kV disconnect switch, outdoor CVT, disconnect gang switch, 25 kv outdoor voltage transformers, SST and fused disconnect switches.
