The Waneta Expansion Project consists in the addition of a second powerhouse
downstream of the Waneta Dam, on the Pend d’Oreille River, south of Trail, BC. The second powerhouse requires the addition of two (2) generators, namely G1 and G2, and all the associated equipment. The addition of those generators will feed an extra 372 MW to the grid in British Columbia. Work includes the installation of Iso bus and switchgear for Unit 1 and Unit 2.
