Project Overview

The Bob Quinn Substation locacted 340 km north of Terrace, BC, is the terminus for the initial phase of the Northwest Transmission Line (NTL) project.  The 287 kV substation has a series capacitor bank for 35 % compensation equivalent to 43.9 ohms and 55.7 MVAR. The station contains one set of 35 MVAR switched line reactors. Work included grounding, installation of conductors, connectors, rods, conduits, cables, terminations, fibre optics and structural steel.
